
Bernadette set up Home in Place NZ in 2015, a subsidiary of one of largest social housing organisations in Australia with a 30 year history of managing social and affordable housing.
She has a background in urban planning and social science; she has an established track record in planning housing in greenfield and brownfield developments for over 10 years in Australia and New Zealand.
More recently she has been in involved in planning new social housing in NZ and shares her experience of managing the differing expectations of investors, developers, private residents and social housing tenants.
Bernadette has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Sydney University and a PhD that she completed through City Futures Research Centre at University of New South Wales
