Risk Management Framework Summary

Home in Place is committed to managing risk effectively to minimise losses and maximise opportunities. We achieve this by identifying, analysing, and evaluating risks, and implementing appropriate measures to manage them across all areas of our operations.

The Risk Management Framework is supported by several key documents:

  • Risk Management Policy: Outlines our approach to risk management and provides overarching principles and guidelines.
  • Risk Management Procedure: Details the steps and processes involved in risk identification, assessment, and management.
  • Risk Management Plan: A structured plan that guides the organisation in managing specific risks, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Risk Appetite Statement: Defines the types and levels of risk the organisation is willing to accept in pursuit of its objectives.
  • Risk Matrix: A tool used to assess the likelihood and impact of risks, allowing us to prioritise and respond appropriately.
  • Benefits Evaluation Matrix: Assesses both risks and benefits to provide a holistic view, ensuring that strategic decisions are made with a clear understanding of potential outcomes.

We ensure robust risk management through the Three Lines of Defense model:

  1. Governance and Organisational Planning Risk Management: Embeds risk considerations into all aspects of governance and planning.
  2. Enterprise-wide Approach: Ensures that risk management is integrated across the organisation.
  3. Internal Audit: Provides independent assurance that our risk management processes are effective and aligned with best practices.

By combining these elements, we create a proactive and responsive environment where risks are well-managed, and opportunities are maximised for the continued success of our organisation.
