Bring your garden ideas to life

Home in Place tenants, do you have an idea for a garden project but need a little help to bring it to life?

Home in Place’s Green Thumb Grants are back for Spring 2026, providing funding and support to help tenants create, improve and enjoy gardens at home and in their communities.

Whether you’re dreaming of growing your own vegetables, adding some colour to your outdoor space, creating an indoor plant sanctuary, or bringing neighbours together through a new communal garden, we’d love to hear your ideas.

This round, eligible tenants can apply for support for:

  • Personal garden projects (up to $100 in garden-related items and supplies)
  • New communal gardens that bring tenants together and create greener, more connected communities

Already have a Green Thumb communal garden?

There’s no need to apply again. We’ll be in touch to see how your garden is growing and discuss opportunities for future support.

Key Dates

EOIs open 13th of July and close 24th of July 2026
Successful applicants will notified and grants will be delivered across August and September 2026.
