Back to School support for Home in Place tenants

Grow a Star is a youth mentoring and scholarship program created and facilitated by Home in Place. The program supports young people experiencing disadvantage to overcome financial, social and generational barriers that may limit their opportunities.

The 2025–26 Grow a Star Back to School round has been targeted to support young people living in Home in Place households across the Upper Hunter as they prepare for the upcoming school year. The round provides practical assistance for items such as school uniforms, shoes, stationery and learning resources.

By helping to reduce the cost pressures faced by families, this support is designed to help students start the year with confidence and focus, so they can fully engage in their learning and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
