NSW Government’s Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF)
Home in Place was proud to play a key role in one of the state’s most significant social and affordable housing initiatives – the NSW Government’s Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF).
We delivered nearly 500 new homes across 19 sites in the Hunter and Central Coast regions, as part of the SAHF program. This was the single largest social and affordable housing project for these regions, delivered on time and on budget.
We worked closely with the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, alongside Tetris Capital, Centuria Capital, developers and local builders, to bring these homes to life. Our role in SAHF is another example of how governments and community housing providers can collaborate to deliver real solutions to the housing crisis.
About SAHF
The Social and Affordable Housing Fund is a NSW Government initiative designed to:
- Increase the supply of social and affordable housing
- Provide coordinated access to tailored support services
- Help tenants build security and independence
- Connect people with training and employment opportunities
Through this program, Home in Place helped provide secure, long-term housing to people on the social housing waiting list, as well as key workers in local communities. These developments were designed to foster inclusive, integrated and sustainable communities.
SAHF delivered more than 3,400 homes across NSW, helping to create better futures for individuals and families across the state.
