Recognition at Business Awards

We’re proud to share that Home in Place has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Community Organisation category of the 2025 Coastline MidCoast Business Awards.

The awards celebrate the organisations making a meaningful contribution to the MidCoast region. Being recognised in this way reflects the dedication of our local team, the strength of our partnerships and the resilience of the communities we support.

We currently manage more than 720 social housing properties across the Mid Coast region of NSW. But our work is about more than just housing. We support people facing complex challenges such as homelessness, domestic and family violence, and financial stress, helping them to build safer and more connected lives.

Our approach is grounded in community. Through initiatives like the Bushland Community Hub, the Frances Street outreach space and regular clean-up days and breakfast clubs, we work closely with tenants and partners to strengthen neighbourhoods and improve wellbeing.

Our place-based strategy focuses on practical solutions that make a lasting impact. From leading local disaster response efforts during recent floods to delivering support through crisis accommodation, Start Safely and homelessness programs, we work on the ground to meet urgent needs while building long-term resilience. We also advocate for housing reform, including the call for one in ten new homes to be built as social or affordable housing.

We also support the local economy by employing people from the region, engaging local contractors and investing in projects that keep resources and skills in the community.

Winners of the 2025 awards will be announced at a gala event on Saturday 2 August at Club Old Bar.
