Home in Place has been recognised nationally for its commitment to its people, culture and leadership, winning in two categories at the 2025 Australian Business Awards – an HR Management Award and was also named an Employer of Choice.
These honours recognise organisations that demonstrate excellence in human resource management, effective leadership, employee engagement and ongoing commitment to building workplaces where people can thrive.
HR Management Award
The HR Management Award acknowledges Home in Place’s efforts to strengthen organisational culture through evidence-based initiatives. A key component of this work was the 2025 Culture Insights Project, which brought together feedback from employees across all regions, roles and levels.
The project created a clear baseline of organisational culture and highlighted the strengths that employees value, including strong alignment with purpose, supportive local team cultures, the visibility of wellbeing and the encouragement leaders provide around growth and development. It also identified practical opportunities to enhance collaboration, improve systems and reduce pressure points that affect workload and wellbeing.
Employer of Choice Award
Home in Place was also recognised as an Employer of Choice for its commitment to building a workplace where people feel supported, motivated and able to develop their careers.
The award highlights the organisation’s purpose driven culture, high levels of role clarity, supportive leadership behaviours and strong team cohesion. Programs such as the Buddy Program, education scholarships, the CHIA Cadetship Program, secondment opportunities and paid study leave strengthen capability and provide clear pathways for growth.
Wellbeing is a visible priority, with flexible work arrangements, resilience training, personal duress devices for frontline workers, proactive WHS systems and dedicated wellbeing leave for frontline teams. These initiatives contribute to strong engagement and stability across the workforce.

Interim Group CEO Lyndall Robertshaw said the awards reflect the dedication of staff across Australia.
“Every day our people show deep care for the tenants and communities we support, and these awards recognise the commitment they bring to their work. Our staff are the backbone of this organisation and the reason we can deliver the impact we do. We have been very intentional about listening to our teams and understanding their experiences.
